Vision for DisTAP: From Plant Signal to Farm Intelligence

This presentation outlines a strategic vision for integrating AI/ML with nanosensors and plant biology to accelerate the translation of laboratory discoveries into field-ready precision agriculture solutions. It introduces three core pillars: an AI-Augmented Plant Intelligence Platform to unify sensor data into predictive health assessments; a Translational Research framework to bridge the gap between laboratory prototypes and urban farm deployment; and the expansion of computational thrusts for deeper AI integration. By leveraging machine learning fusion algorithms and edge-computing hardware, the initiative seeks to deliver real-time, actionable insights for farmers, aligning with Singapore's Food Story 2.0 goals. The session highlights how converging world-class sensor technologies with large-scale data analytics can transform food security and urban farming resilience globally.
